Frequently asked questions

What counts as a request?

Every API call counts as one request, regardless of the endpoint or response size. See our documentation for details on how errors are counted.

What happens when I hit my limit?

All tiers reset daily at midnight UTC. Once you hit your daily limit, requests return a 429 status code with a clear error message until the next reset. We don't charge overage fees.

Can I upgrade or downgrade?

Yes, at any time from the developer portal. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

Do you offer annual billing?

Not yet, but it's on our roadmap. Monthly billing only for now.

Do I need a credit card for the free tier?

No. Sign up with just an email address. No credit card required, no trial period — the free tier is free forever.

What's your refund policy?

We offer pro-rated refunds within 30 days of any charge. Contact us and we'll sort it out.

What data is included?

Every tier — including Free — includes all three datasets: SEC EDGAR (financial filings, insider trades, institutional holdings), US Census Bureau (demographic and economic data by geography), and Bureau of Labor Statistics (employment, wages, job openings). There are no per-dataset restrictions.

What is bulk data export?

Streaming downloads of complete datasets in JSONL or CSV format, covering SEC EDGAR, Census Bureau, and BLS data. Available on Business tier and above. Designed for bootstrapping your database with historical data before using the regular API for ongoing updates.

Do all three datasets share the same rate limit?

Yes. One API key, one daily quota, shared across all three datasets (SEC, Census, BLS). There is no per-dataset rate limit — it's a single pool.
